FRISCO, Texas - Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi golfer
Autumn Bynum was named to the All-Southland Conference Second Team and
Dani Bergmann earned honorable mention honors in a release from the league office on Thursday.
Bynum was the team's top performer as a junior, averaging 74.64 strokes per round. She had five top-10 finishes and was the individual medalist at the Islander Classic, finishing first out of 57 competitors with rounds of 74-73-70. Of her 33 rounds on the season, she shot in the 70s or better 32 times. Her season low round of 68 came during the third round of the Sam Houston State Invitational, lifting her to a sixth place finish. The 68 ties for the second lowest round in program history. Bynum was a second team all-conference selection last season.
Bergmann played in all 11 tournaments for the Islanders as a senior, carding a 75.52 average. She had 28 rounds in the 70s and shot a season low 71 three times on the year. Bergmann had three top-10 individual finishes on the year including a fourth-place finish at the Idle Hour Collegiate where she shot rounds of 72-73-72. In the final meet of the year, she broke the Islander career record for birdies with 185.
