- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball team got 32 points from
Jashawn Talton to defeat the University of the Incarnate Word, 74-72, in overtime on Saturday evening at the McDermott Center in San Antonio, Texas.
- The Islanders improved to 12-17 overall and 7-9 in Southland Conference play. The Cardinals fall to 6-23 overall and 1-15 in league action.
- Talton's 32 points came on 8-of-15 shooting. He hit 14-of-15 free throw attempts, grabbed six rebounds, had two steals and hit a pair of three pointers.

- The Islanders shot 46.9 percent from the field (23-for-46) and hit 7-of-15 three point attempts (46.7 percent).
