Islanders drop rematch at Abilene Christian, 72-55

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (13-13, 7-8 Southland) faltered Wednesday evening at Abilene Christian (18-8, 11-4 Southland), falling in the tough Southland road venue by a final 72-55 mark.
- Junior Emma Young served as the lone Islander in double digits on the night, posting 14 points with five rebounds, one assist and four steals. Meanwhile, fellow juniors La'Janeira Robinson and Dae Dae Evans combined for 16, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for the former, with a joint six assists and five steals.
