Men's basketball falls at home to ACU

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball team fell to Abilene Christian, 73-64, on Wednesday evening at the American Bank Center.
- The Islanders move to 11-17 overall on the year and 6-9 in Southland play. The Wildcats improved to 22-6 overall and 11-4 in league action.
- Jashawn Talton scored a game-high 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting with three long range makes. He had six rebounds and led the team with four assists. He added one block defensively in 37 minutes.
- Kareem South scored 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting. He had two three pointers and finished with four rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot.

- The Islanders shot 46.4 percent from the field (26-for-56) and outrebounded the Wildcats, 37-35.

- Wednesday marked South's 17th game this year in double figures and 51st of his career ... Talton has now scored in double figures eight times this season ... Talton's 18 points tied a season-high that he had against Sam Houston State back on Feb. 13 ... his four assists also tied a season-best that he had at Northwestern State back on Jan. 9 ... it was the 18th time this season the Islanders have outrebounded an opponent .. Talton has now led the team in scoring four times and in assists three times this year ... Toney led the team in rebounding for the first time this season ... Kevin Yeiser hit the pregame half-court shot for the first time this season.
