Women's basketball bounces back with 90-52 win over Rams

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team defeated Texas Wesleyan University, 90-52, on Saturday afternoon inside the Dugan Wellness Center.
- The Islanders improve their overall record to 5-3. 
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is now a perfect 4-0 inside the Dugan Wellness Center. 
- The 90 points scored by the Islanders is their highest point total this season. 
- The 38 point margin of victory is also a new season high for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. 
- Freshman guard Olivia Dowden had a breakout game for A&M-Corpus Christi with a new career high 14 points. 
- The starters for A&M-Corpus Christi in today's game included; Alexes Bryant, Dalesia Booth, Tiara Matthews, Dae Dae Evans, and Emma Young.

- Collectively, the Islanders shot 53.1-percent from the field. 
- Booth led the team with 15 points, shooting five-for-eight from the floor and five-for-seven from the free throw line.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi shot 10-19 from the three-point line, a new season best for the blue and green. 
- Dowden finished the game as the second highest scorer with 14 points, shooting four-of-five shooting from beyond the arc.

- The Islanders won the battle of the boards for the sixth straight game, out rebounding the Rams 42-28. 
- The Corpus Christi defense forced 20 turnovers on 12 steals. A&M-Corpus Christi also collected 25 points off of those turnovers.
