Dalesia Booth eclipses 1,000 career points in road battle at Texas State

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team fell to Texas State University, 57-48, on Saturday afternoon in San Marcos, Texas. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi moves to 4-3 overall on the year, while the Bobcats improve to 4-2. 
- With her fourth point of the first half, senior guard Dalesia Booth eclipsed 1,000 points for her career, becoming just the ninth Islander in program history to reach the mark. 
- Alexes Bryant led the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi offense with her third double-double this season, scoring 15 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. 
- Today's starting five included; Bryant, Dae Dae Evans, Makinna Serrata, Emma Young and Booth. 
- The game featured four ties and seven lead changes.  

Key Islander Statistics
- Three different players reached double digit scoring as Bryant scored 15, while Booth collected 11 and Young posted 10. 
- In addition to their double-digit scoring performances, both Young and Booth grabbed seven rebounds. 
- Evans also added eight points, four rebounds and two assists. 
- The Islanders won the battle of the boards for the fifth consecutive game, out rebounding Texas State, 36-20, including 12 on the offensive glass. 
- Bryant led all players with four blocks. As a team, the Islanders recorded a season high seven blocked shots against the Bobcats. 
- The A&M-Corpus Christi defense forced 13 turnovers on seven steals. Freshman Hayle Campbell and junior guard Giana Wright led the team with two steals each. 

Islanders Notables
- With four points in the first half, Booth became just the ninth player in program history to reach 1,000 points in a career. She is now the first Islander in the history of the program to reach 1,000 career points and 100 career blocks. 
- Bryant recorded her ninth career double-double as an Islander, putting her in a tie with fellow senior Young for eighth all-time. 
- Young collected six defensive rebounds, putting her career total of 365 which is just two shy of taking over the No. 7 spot on the all-time list.
