CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi softball program has announced its 2020 schedule. The slate features 21 home contests including the Islander Invitational starting on Friday, Feb. 21 with North Texas and Texas Southern. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is under the guidance of head coach
Kristen Zaleski who is in her first year on the Island.
The Islanders will play in four spring tournaments including their home invitational. The season begins on Friday, Feb. 7, at the University of Texas Tournament in Austin, Texas. The weekend includes games against Wichita State, Colorado State, Maryland and Texas. A&M-Corpus Christi will face UAB, Louisiana Monroe, South Dakota State and McNeese State at the Houston Tournament starting on Feb. 14. The Islanders will play in Tampa, Fla., beginning on Friday, Feb. 28 and will take on Syracuse, South Florida and Rutgers.
The 2020 home schedule includes contests against Southeastern La. (March 6 & 7), Prairie View A&M (March 18), Lamar (March 20 & 21), Abilene Christian (March 27 & 28), Central Arkansas (April 10 & 11) and Northwestern State (April 24 & 25).
