Volleyball falls in home match to Lady Demons

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team fell to Northwestern State, 3-1, at the Dugan Wellness Center on Thursday evening.
- The Islanders are now 8-9 overall and 1-3 in Southland Conference play. The Lady Demons improve to 10-7 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
- Chloe Simon had a team-high 16 kills, hitting .429 with just one attacking error. She added seven digs to go along with a block and an assist.

- The Islanders won the second set, 25-22, holding NSU to just a .152 attack percentage in the frame.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's best offensive set came in the third as the team hit .354 with 18 kills and just one attacking error.
- Carissa Barnes set a career high with 31 digs, her first performance of 30+ digs this season. She also contributed two service aces and a pair of assists on the evening.
- Rachel Young hit .400 with 14 kills, six digs, two blocks and a service ace.
- Madison Howard recorded her first double-digit kill performance with 10. She also added a block in the match.
