Women's Basketball drops matchup at Nicholls State, 85-55

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (10-7, 4-2 Southland) faltered in Wednesday evening's road matchup at Nicholls State (11-8, 5-2 Southland), falling by a final 85-55 margin at Stopher Gym in Thibodaux, La.
- Juniors Tiara Matthews and Dalesia Booth led the Islanders individually, combining for 23 total points and seven rebounds. Meanwhile, junior Dae Dae Evans returned into the starting lineup after not seeing the court versus New Orleans this past Saturday, posting a seven-point performance with three rebounds and a pair of steals.

- For the game, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi closed out the competition shooting 35.0 percent (21-of-60) from the floor, 16.7 percent (2-of-12) at the three point line and 55.0 percent (11-of-20) at the charity stripe.
