THE FUTUREÂ
"I am extremely proud of the Islanders Beach Volleyball Team! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's been a pleasant surprise that we finished with 12 dual overall match wins and 48 team match wins. We had a wide variety of beach experience going into the season which has grown exponentially over time! What excites me the most is that our hard work paid off and every one of my players got to experience victory," Head Coach
Gayle Stammer said. "After this year, we will have the benefit of experience and depth on our side as well as the addition of transfers and freshmen from Texas, Ohio, Sweden and France in 2018-19. I'd like to thank my assistant coach,
Steve Greene, for his dedication to helping move this program in the right direction! I'm going to miss him as he heads back to the indoor volleyball team full time. Our athletic trainer, Kelly Erickson, and strength coach,
Nicole Brown, have been amazing with the girls in keeping them healthy and strong throughout the year! With the support of the entire Athletic Department, I look forward to many more successful experiences on and off the courts at TAMUCC! We will be adding 6 home beach courts at The Water's Edge downtown and look forward to hosting more tournaments next year!"
