CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – After picking up two wins against UTSA last week, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Okkie Kellerman has earned Southland Conference player of the week honors. This is the fourth week in a row which the Islanders have secured this honor.
"We are very proud of Okkie," said Coach Steve Moore, "and the way that his game has matured. He is such a great character kid, and has made a big impact for the Islanders in both doubles and singles play. We are excited for these conference matches ahead, and what these matches will hold for this team."
The men are now 14-3 on the season, and have been ranked in the NCAA D-1 Top 75 for two consecutive weeks. The Islanders return to action next week, hosting UT-Arlington next Tuesday, March 20 at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center. The match is slated to start at 12 PM.
