Women's Basketball dominates Texas A&M International, 84-36

Story Headlines
- Propelled by a quartet of double-digit performances, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (4-4, 0-0 Southland) blew past Texas A&M International (0-9, 0-0 Heartland) at the Dugan Wellness Center on Saturday afternoon, clinching an 84-36 victory over the Dustdevils and moving back to .500 on the season. 
- While junior Alexes Bryant posted a team-high 16 points, three fellow teammates -- juniors Dalesia Booth, Emma Young and Dae Dae Evans -- also managed to reach double-digit scoring, combining for 36 points on the day. 
- Of the 12 active players for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi today, 10 managed to score points. 

Key Islander Statistics
- The Islanders notched their best third quarter of the season, shooting 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the floor and 75.0 percent (3-of-4) beyond the arc for a total of 33 points. For the game, A&M-Corpus Christi went 45.5 percent (35-of-77) overall, 31.6 percent (6-of-19) at the three point line and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) at the charity stripe.  
- Young, Booth and Evans composed excellent performances beyond their point totals, as the former dished out a team-best nine assists while the latter two combined for nine  steals on the day. Meanwhile, Bryant continued to harass offensive attacks into the paint, picking up two blocks. 
- Junior Sydney-Anne Cottrell dazzled in her first game off the bench this season, dropping a trio of three-pointers (half of the team's total makes beyond the arc). 
- The Islander dominance down low (46 points in the paint to the Dustdevils' six) and in transition (12 points on fast break to Dustdevil's zero), not to mention the 23-5 margin on second chance points, served as the primary means to A&M-Corpus Christi's success down the stretch.
