Story Headlines
- Buoyed by strong performances from both
Brianna Jackson (career-high 19 points) and
Alexes Bryant (double-double), the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (5-4, 0-0 Southland) knocked off visiting Schreiner University (0-9, 0-0 SCAC) Friday evening at the Dugan Wellness Center, pushing the squad's win streak to two games behind the 64-34 victory.
- Jackson managed to sink 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and go a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line in her career game, battling past a slew of injuries that has sidelined the senior for the recent part of her time with the program.
- Meanwhile, Bryant put together another strong performance down low, racking up 13 points, 11 rebounds four steals and two blocks for the team's first double-double of the season.
