CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- With Southland play looming following the Holiday Break, the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (5-5, 0-0 Southland) aims to enter conference competition on a high note as Texas Lutheran (7-5, 3-0 SCAC) visits Thursday evening, tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. on the Corpus Christi Athletic Club court at the American Bank Center. - Royce Chadwick enters his seventh season leading Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and 35th overall year as head coach, sporting a 648-407 record.
- The Islanders 19-win season last year marked Chadwick's best finish with A&M-Corpus Christi since his arrival in 2012.

With the five-game home stretch wrapped up, the Islanders receive an 11-day hiatus before returning to on-court action following the Holiday Break, opening Southland Conference play with a trip to Central Arkansas to battle the Sugar Bears on Dec. 31.
