HOUSTON, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team heads to Houston Baptist University on Tuesday, Nov. 6, for a 7 p.m. match against the Huskies at Sharp Gym. The Islanders and HBU are currently tied for fifth place in the Southland standings at 7-7.

- The Huskies got a 3-2 victory over the Islanders back on Oct. 11 in Corpus Christi.
- HBU hit .262 for the match and had 11 blocks.
- Ashtyn Richey had 15 kills as one of five players to reach double-figures in kills for the Huskies.
- Five HBU players also reached double figures in digs, led by 20 from Hannah Lewis.

Sam Dumity hit .286 with a team-high 13 kills for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She also had three service aces, five digs and three blocks.

Kaylee Payne had a career high 24 digs in the match.

Madison Green also set a career-high with 47 assists.
- The Islanders have two more matches remaining this year. Those remaining opponents have a combined 13-15 Southland record this season.
- Green is just 102 assists away from reaching the 1,000 career helper mark. Only seven players have reached that plateau in Islander history.
- The only players in the Islander top-10 in both digs and assists all time is
Kristyn Nicholson and Logen Borque.
- Green recorded the conference's first triple-double of the year, notching 33 assists, 12 digs and 10 kills in a five-set loss to South Florida on Aug. 31 at LSU. She got her second triple-double in a five-set match at home against Sam Houston State with 40 assists, 17 digs and 10 kills. Only Nicholls' Heidi Carpenter has two triple-doubles this season in the Southland.
- Green has been named to the Mizzou, South Carolina and Islander All-Invitational teams this season.
Sam Dumity earned All-Islander Invitational accolades as well.
- This year's roster features three juniors, four sophomores, eight freshman and no seniors.
- Green is the only member of the team that has played for three seasons. She enters Tuesday's match with 382 career kills, 898 assists and 546 digs. Her 693 assists this season is a single season-high. She has also surpassed her single-season best mark in service aces at 31. She has scored 453.0 career points as a member of the Islanders in 83 matches.
The Islanders will close out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the University of the Incarnate Word at noon.
