NATCHITOCHES, La. - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team will face top-seed Stephen F. Austin in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament on Friday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. The tournament is being held at Prather Coliseum on the campus of Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La.

- All-time, this is the eighth Southland Conference Tournament for the Islanders who hold a record of 8-5 at the championships.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has qualified for seven straight conference tournaments, dating back to the 2012 season.
- Stephen F. Austin and the Islanders have never met in the conference tournament.
- A&M-Corpus Christi has won two titles, occurring in 2015 and 2016. SFA has four conference tournament championships, the last one coming in 2006.

Steve Greene is 3-1 in the Southland Tournament in two seasons. The Islanders have made the tournament during all three years he has been on the Island.

Madison Green was named to the First Team All-Southland Conference team for her play after earning honorable mention accolades last season as a sophomore.
- Green becomes the ninth Islander to earn first team all-conference honors in program history
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has had a first team representative in each of the past seven seasons.

Rachel Young was named All-Southland Conference honorable mention as a freshman middle blocker.
- This is the 21st all time meeting between the two programs.
- The Ladyjacks beat the Islanders earlier this season, 3-0, on Sept. 29, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
- SFA hit .300 and got 12 kills and six blocks from Danae Daron in the win. Ann Hollas added seven blocks and Haley Coleman had five service aces.
- Green is just 39 assists away from reaching the 1,000 career helper mark. Only seven players have reached that plateau in Islander history.
- The only players in the Islander top-10 in both digs and assists all time are
Kristyn Nicholson and Logen Borque. Green is already No. 8 in assists and is 127 digs away from breaking into the career digs top-10.
- Green has been named to the Mizzou, South Carolina and Islander All-Invitational teams this season.
Sam Dumity earned All-Islander Invitational accolades as well.
- Green is the only member of the team that has played for three seasons. She enters Friday's match with 396 career kills, 961 assists and 564 digs. Her 756 assists this season is a single season-high. She has also surpassed her single-season best mark in service aces at 33.
The winner of Friday's match will play the winner of Abilene Christian and Houston Baptist on Saturday, Nov. 17, at noon.
