Golf travels to FIU Pat Bradley Invitational

SARASOTA, Fla. - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi golf team will head to Florida International Pat Bradley Invitational starting on Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Lakewood Ranch Golf Course. The three-day event will feature 15 teams.

Last year, the Islanders took 10th place at the Pat Bradley Invitational. The tournament was cut to just 36 holes after inclement weather affected play. Autumn Bynum carded a 68 in her second round and finished as the tournament's individual runner-up. It was the second-lowest individual round in Islander history, a mark Bynum tied on Oct. 2 at the Sam Houston State Invitational.

As a team, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has had a good amount of success at this tournament. In 2013, Vanessa Johnson shot a 67 during the second round which remains the program's 18-hole record. Two of the top-11 all-time best rounds in Islander history have also taken place at Florida International's tournament. In 2012, the team shot a 296 in the third round and last season, the Islanders shot a 297 in the second round of play.

A&M-Corpus Christi will play at the Mercer Idle Hour Collegiate in Macon, Ga., starting on Monday, Nov. 5 in the team's final fall event. The spring season starts at the Texas State Invitational in Tyler, Texas on Monday, Feb. 11.
