ABILENE, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team gears up for three Southland conference matches this week beginning on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Abilene Christian University. The Islanders return home for a Thursday night match against Lamar and a Saturday contest against McNeese State at the Dugan Recreation Center.

- The Islanders and the Wildcats split a pair of meetings last season, each team winning on their respective home courts.
- ACU won the first meeting on Oct. 19, 3-2.
Madison Green had three service aces, seven digs and two block assists in the five-set match.
- The two teams met on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Senior Day at the Dugan Wellness Center in the rematch on Nov. 11 with the Islanders picking up a 3-0 sweep.
- Green had a double-double with 12 digs and 11 kills. She also had two service aces.
- The Wildcats are on a three-match winning streak and have won their last three matches at home.
- ACU will visit the Islanders on Oct. 27 at the Dugan Wellness Center.
- In conference play, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ranks first in service aces per set (1.70), seventh in digs per set (14.89), ninth in the league in assists per set (11.44) and ninth in kills (12.22).
- Green is second in service aces per set at 0.50 and is also fourth with 9.56 assists per set.

Rachel Young is eighth in the conference with a .357 attack percentage in league play.

Kaylee Payne's 4.26 digs per set is the eighth best mark in league play.
- Green recorded the conference's first triple-double of the year, notching 33 assists, 12 digs and 10 kills in a five-set loss to South Florida on Aug. 31 at LSU. Only two other Southland players have a triple-double this season.
- Green has been named to the Mizzou, South Carolina and Islander All-Invitational teams this season.
Sam Dumity earned All-Islander Invitational accolades as well.
- This year's roster features three juniors, four sophomores, eight freshman and no seniors.
- Green is the only member of the team that has played for three seasons. She enters Tuesday's match with 337 career kills, 636 assists and 476 digs. Her 431 assists this season is a single season-high. She has also surpassed her single-season best mark in service aces at 21. She has scored 401.5 points as a member of the Islanders so far.
- The Islanders added two junior college transfers in
Eloise van Velthooven (Parkland College) and
Kayla Valigura (Blinn College).
