CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The toughest day in collegiate volleyball awaits Texas A&M-Corpus Christi as the Islanders head to the American Campus Classic in Austin where they will face No. 1 Minnesota and No. 5 Texas on Thursday. The Islanders will conclude the classic on Friday with a matchup against Denver.
All three games will be televised on the Longhorn Network, with the matchup against Texas kicking off the week at noon on Thursday. The Islanders will then turn around and face top-ranked Minnesota at 5 p.m. the same day.
Thursday marks the first time the Islanders have ever played two ranked teams on the same day. The matchup with Minnesota is also the first time the Blue and Green has squared off with the No. 1 team in the country.

SHOWDOWN SUCCESS
The Islanders enter the American Campus Classic fresh off a victory over rival UTRGV in the South Texas Showdown presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union on Tuesday night.
After a slow start, the Islanders used 14 aces and 12 blocks to complete the comeback in a 3-1 victory.
Mallory Moran hit a career-best .435 to lead the Islanders in the victory.
