Beach Heads to Houston

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball continues its road swing with a weekend trip to the HBU Beach Invitational.
 
The Islanders will play three matches on the weekend, playing twice on Saturday and once Sunday to finish the tournament.
 
Corpus Christi opens the weekend against No. 7 LSU. The Tigers will be the first nationally-ranked opponent the Islanders have faced this season. The Islanders and LSU will battle in a 1 p.m. first serve on Saturday.
 
Following the clash with the nationally-ranked Tigers, the Islanders will face Central Arkansas for the second time in as many weeks. The Islanders and Bears will square off in a 5 p.m. first serve.
 
A&M-Corpus Christi will wrap the weekend on Sunday afternoon against the host Houston Baptist. The Islanders and Huskies are meeting for the third time this season with HBU taking each of the first two matches.
 
After the three matches in Houston, the Islanders will head to LSU for the Battle on the Bayou next weekend.
