The Islanders enter the match 4-4 on the year after splitting in two matches in the Islanders Classic over the weekend. The Blue and Green had its 20-match home winning streak snapped by UNLV Friday night in a 3-1 loss, but rebounded with a 3-1 win over UT Arlington on Saturday.
TRACKING TRENDS
A&M-Corpus Christi is looking for its first win over Texas State in program history. The two squads have not met in five years since the Bobcats moved to the Sun Belt Conference.
While Southland foes, the Bobcats claimed all 15 meetings with the Islanders.
ISLANDERS INSIGHT
• Kate Klepetka was a force over the weekend piling up 57 digs over the two matches. The libero averaged 7.15 digs per set in the two matches.
• Klepetka had a near career day Saturday with 35 digs in the four sets versus UT Arlington. The total was one shy of her career high and two shy of a school record for a four-set match.

Morgan Carlson broke out this weekend, knocking down 28 kills. She averaged 3.50 kills per set in the Islanders Classic and hit .239.

Brittany Gilpin continued her double-digit kill streak with 10 versus UNLV and 14 against UT Arlington. Gilpin has now recorded 10+ kills in seven consecutive matches.

Mallory Moran notched a career high 14 kills in the win over UT Arlington.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Texas State enters Tuesday night at 6-5 on the year. The Bobcats went 2-1 at the North Harbour Marriott Challenge hosted by Portland over the weekend.
Jordan Kohl leads the Bobcats with 115 kills on the season, averaging 3.19 kills per set. Three other Bobcats have over 70 kills as Kelsey Weynand (77), Jaliyah Bolden (71) and Lauren Kirch (70) all add better that two kills per set.
Defensively, Texas State uses a team effort as seven players have over 50 digs with Alex Silver leading the team with 70.
COMING UP
The Islanders hit the road for the last weekend of non-conference action as the Blue and Green heads to the Rice Adidas II Invite to face Rice, Houston and Yale on Friday and Saturday.
