Inga Erickson

Inga Erickson joined the athletic training staff at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in February 2024. The 2025 season will be her second working with the Islanders soccer program.

Erickson arrived on the Island during the 2024 Spring semester, working first with the softball team and guiding it through a season in which they qualified for the Southland Conference Tournament. She then began to work with soccer in the fall, working to keep healthy the team that put together the most successful season in program history. With Erickson on staff, the Islanders finished second in the Southland Conference with a record of 10-5-5 -- their highest-ever placement in the conference standings -- and matched their longest run in the SLC Women's Soccer Championships by qualifying for the semifinals of the tournament.

Prior to her time with the Islanders, Erickson worked with the University of Idaho for four years, starting first as a graduate assistant athletic trainer from Fall 2020 to Spring 2022, a role in which she primarily worked with women's soccer while also assisting to run the fueling center for student athletes. She was then promoted to the role of intern athletic trainer in Fall 2022, where she continued to work with women's soccer along with added responsibilities with swim and dive. While in this position, the Vandals made it to the championship game of the Big Sky conference tournament in back-to-back seasons and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2023.

Erickson graduated her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Washington University in 2020, and she later earned her Master's in Movement and Leisure Science from the University of Idaho in 2022. She is a board certified athletic trainer through the BOC and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas, in addition to being dry needle certified.

Erickson lives in Corpus Christi with her fiancé Austin and their two dogs Nelli and Rooster.
