Bringing back one of its own former student-athletes, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball program hired Olivia Fouty as Director of Basketball Operations in June 2023.

In her first season on staff, Fouty helped assist the women's basketball team to its first-ever Southland Conference Tournament title with a 68-61 victory over Lamar in the championship game. It led the program to making its first trip to the NCAA Tournament where the Islanders went on to face No. 1 USC in the First Round.

Fouty played for the Islanders in 2014-15 in her fifth year and averaged 11.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. She notched 10 double doubles and was named an SLC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Fouty tallied career-highs of 21 points against New Orleans and 14 rebounds versus UNLV.

Fouty departed The Island for Spain where she played professionally. She played for Tarragona and averaged a double-double of 15.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per outing, and tallied 15 double doubles.

Fouty returned to the states to work as a graduate assistant at Wheeling University where she earned her MBA. She then served as an assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands for two years from 2020-22.

Most recently, Fouty was an assistant coach at Hawai'I Pacific University in 2022-23 where she worked primarily with the forwards and centers. She coached a WBCA and D2CAA All-America Honorable Mention in Abby Spurgin, who led the PacWest Conference in scoring and blocks and was second in rebounding. Spurgin was the PacWest Player and Newcomer of the Year.

Fouty earned her Bachelor's degree in communications and minored in business at Eastern Michigan University. She's second all-time in EMU history in career double doubles with 17 and helped lead the team to the MAC Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance as a sophomore. Between EMU and A&M-Corpus Christi, Fouty registered over 1,000 career points.
