2013 (JUNIOR): Compiled a 14-9 singles record and a 6-0 record in Southland Conference action … split time at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots where he compiled a 4-7 and 9-2 record, respectively … also competed in the No. 1 spot where he tallied a 1-0 record … primarily paired up with Andrew Maingot in the No. 3 spot in doubles action … also paired up with Pietro Jordao and Ricardo Mayagoitia … helped the team to their six straight SLC Championship and to the first round of the NCAA championships … earned Second Team All-Southland recognition for both singles and doubles … named Southland All-Academic ... garnered the Islanders Heart of the Team award.   

2012 (SOPHOMORE): Completed his sophomore year with an overall record of 8-6 in singles play and a 3-2 record in Southland Conference play … primarily played at the No. 4 spot where he put together a 5-3 record … also competed in the No. 3 and No. 5 spots where his records were 2-2 and 1-1, respectively … paired up with Aurelien Tave at the No. 2 spot in doubles play ... also teamed up with Alex Pavlov and Nathan Robinson … named Second Team All-Southland … helped the team to their fifth straight SLC Regular-Season Championship.

2011 (FRESHMAN): The primary player at the No. 5 position all year for the Islanders, Westmoreland earned Southland Conference Freshman of the Year honor after going 15-8, the second-best record on the team … won his first three collegiate matches, including a win against the No. 6 player from No. 67 New Mexico State … clinched the Islanders fourth-straight Southland Conference Regular Season Championship with his win at No. 5 singles against UTSA (4/7) in San Antonio after rallying from down a set to win in three … had a season-high five match winning streak.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei, Hawaii, for coach Ty Aki … led his team to a 23-2 mark during his senior season … was named the Conference Player of the Year and to the all-conference first team as a sophomore, junior and senior … state finalist as an individual in his freshman and senior seasons while finishing in third place as a junior … won his conference championship in each of his final three seasons … also lettered in basketball two years.

PERSONAL: Born Matthew Shuichi Westmoreland on Feb. 5, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii … parents are Homer and Helen Westmoreland ... major is kinesiology.
