TAMUCC: One of seven seniors on the team that will have on-the-court leadership...will see lots of time at forward.

AS A JUNIOR (2005-06): Appeared in all 28 games, starting 14 where he averaged 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game...Hit 41 percent from the field (51-124) and 33 percent from beyond the three-point line (12-36)...Was third on the team in steals with 24...Tied a career-high with six defensive rebounds at No. 12 Maryland and set a career-high with two blocks in the same game...Played a season-high 27 minutes against Missouri State...Put in a season-high 11 points three times, the first coming in the first game against Concordia where he was 4-of-6 from the field, including 1-of-1 from three-point land. The second came at Texas-San Antonio where he was 3-5 from beyond the 3-point line, while the last 11-point output came against James Madison in the Flint Hills Islander Classic...Pulled down a season-high eight rebounds at Maryland...Had at least one steal in all but seven games and scored in all but five games...Ended the season with 13 consecutive starts.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2004-05): Appeared in all 28 games, starting the final 14 contests of the season...Averaged 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds a game...Had one of the top shooting percentages on the team with a .516 mark, hitting 49-of-45 shots from the field...Was nearly as efficient from the three-point line, hitting .442 percent (19-43)...Scored a career-high 14 points in a home win over Central Baptist, hitting 4-of-6 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 from beyond the three-point line...Scored in double figures four times, including back-to-back 10-plus outputs...He put in 10 at Drake, then turned around and put in 11 at home against Savannah State...Scored at least one point in all but one contest and pulled down at least one rebound in all but four games...Pulled down 62 rebounds on the year, 20 offensive and 42 defensive...Set a career-high five assists in a win against Utah Valley State...Played a career-high 28 minutes against IPFW.

As A FRESHMAN (2003-04): Started 13 games as a true freshman and appeared in 25...Averaged 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds a game...Set a season and then career-high with 10 points in a win over Texas Southern, where he hit 5-of-8 shots from the field and pulled down 10 rebounds...Made his first start of his collegiate career on Jan. 4 against Binghamton, shooting 1-of-2 from the field, scoring two points...Started 13 consecutive games, with his last start coming against Murray State on the road.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 22.3 points, 12.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 4.1 steals, and 2.1 blocks as a senior for coach Russell Gray...Had a double-double every game his junior and senior years...Unanimous selection to the all-conference first team as a sophomore, junior, and senior...First-team all-district, all-News Press, all-area, and all-state as a junior and senior...Also garnered team MVP, best offensive player, and best defensive player honors as a junior and senior...Is Mid-Buchanan High School?s all-time assist leader, all-time steals leader, all-time rebound leader, and is 2nd all time in scoring...A three-sport four-year letterman, Engelken also lettered in football and baseball.
