2012 (FRESHMAN): Made appearances in 18 games with three starts going 28.1 innings with a 3.81 ERA … had 10 appearances in which he did not give up a run … went 1.2 innings in his collegiate debut without allowing a run against Nebraska-Omaha (2/19) … allowed one run while striking out seven in four innings against Incarnate Word in his first career start (3/6).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Rene Cordova at Willis High School … the Wildcats went 23-10 in 2011 as he hit for a .521 average and had a 2.58 ERA as a pitcher 7… also were area champions and were second in district … earned first team all-district pitcher and was selected to the All-Houston Area All –Star Team as a senior.
