2013 (SOPHOMORE): Made 21 appearances and 10 starts … recorded five wins and two saves with a 4.20 ERA … third on the team in innings pitched with 70.2 … made his first 10 appearances of the season out of the bullpen, going at least two innings in five of them and not allowing a run in six … pitched a career-high 8.2 innings and did not allow a run on six hits while striking out five at Nicholls (4/7) … helped finish a sweep of McNeese State going 6.1 innings, while allowing one run on five hits to earn the win against the Cowboys (5/5) … recorded the final two outs to earn the save in the Islanders opening game of the Southland Conference Tournament against Central Arkansas (5/22).
2012 (FRESHMAN): Made appearances in 18 games with three starts going 28.1 innings with a 3.81 ERA … had 10 appearances in which he did not give up a run … went 1.2 innings in his collegiate debut without allowing a run against Nebraska-Omaha (2/19) … allowed one run while striking out seven in four innings against Incarnate Word in his first career start (3/6).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Rene Cordova at Willis High School … the Wildcats went 23-10 in 2011 as he hit for a .521 average and had a 2.58 ERA as a pitcher 7… also were area champions and were second in district … earned first team all-district pitcher and was selected to the All-Houston Area All –Star Team as a senior.
