2014 (RS FRESHMAN): Teamed up with Stefania Nicolae at No. 3 doubles for three matches and tallied a 1-0 record, with their lone win coming against Incarnate Word (4/19/14) … played two unfinished matches in No. 6 singles … helped the Islanders clinch their first Southland regular season and tournament titles in program history and their first berth into the NCAA Championships … earned a spot on the Southland Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2013 (FRESHMAN): Sat out the season due to an injury.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner under head coach Vic Dimond at King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas ... earned Freshman of the Year and MVP honors ... finished in the top 15 percent of her class ... part of the permanent honor roll. 

PERSONAL: Born Venesa Figueroa on Oct. 20, 1994, in Tarpon Springs, Fla. … parents are Erick Figueroa and Mylin Anandula … has two siblings, Sean Springer and Anika Anandula … major is political science/philosophy.
