FRISCO, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team accounts for the first two SLC Pair of the Week awards for the 2026 season with the pairing of
Millie Olsson and
Maria Duda Fernandes de Melo bringing it home this week after an undefeated weekend on the East Coast.
Olsson/Fernandes de Melo went untouched at the No. 2 court in all four matches over the weekend in South Carolina's Wheeler Beach Bash. They went 4-0 and defeated each opponent in straight sets.
Their dominance began with an opening win over Chattanooga 21-16, 21-14 before earn the team's lone point against South Carolina 21-19, 21-16. The duo then swiftly took down Austin Peay 21-15, 21-17 on day two and closed the undefeated weekend against Coastal Carolina with a clutch 21-19, 21-10 victory.
The Islanders will stay in-state for the TCU Invitational this weekend, competing in a trio of matches including a conference match against HCU in Fort Worth on Friday.
