THIBODAUX, La. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team is back on the road this weekend, heading across state lines for their first two-game trip in Louisiana when they face Nicholls Saturday and New Orleans Monday.
Saturday's contest is set to tip at 3 p.m. after the conclusion of the women's game right before. The game on Monday is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. game time
The Islanders are 5-2 on the road in conference play this year, the second best mark across the league so far. They will be going for the season sweep over New Orleans after defeating the Privateers 83-69 earlier this year but will seek revenge over the Colonels having narrowly dropped the matchup in Corpus Christi.
This weekend will begin to create separation in the standings, as the Islanders are only one game behind third-place Nicholls and are currently in a three-way tie for fourth with UTRGV and New Orleans. These will two of the final eight games of the year ahead of the SLC Tournament in March.
