FRISCO, Texas – Opening the new season with a bang, the top pairing of
Madison Morrow and
Kristin Bobay of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team came away as the first SLC Pair of the Week for 2026.
Morrow/Bobay dominated at the No. 1 court in all four matches over opening weekend, posting a 3-1 pair record from that top position. They began with a straight-set win over (rv) Oregon before posting another sweep over #20 Tulane for the team's statement ranked win to start the season.
On day two, they turned in another two-set win over (rv) South Florida, before battling down to a third-set with #12 LSU at the No. 1 court.
The Islanders will look to turn in another solid weekend, heading to South Carolina's Wheeler Beach Bash this upcoming Friday and Saturday in Colombia, SC.
