The Islanders begin play in the new season with their home opener against College of Biblical Studies on November 3, and they hit the road for the first time two days later to take on Texas A&M in College Station, returning to the site of one of the biggest wins in program history from a year ago when the team earned its first-ever victory over the Aggies. They then close out nonconference play with a stretch of five more games against Division I opponents, returning home for a pair of contests against Santa Clara and Texas State before then embarking on a three-game road trip to take on Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts and UTEP.

Following this is the start of Southland Conference play, with a new format allowing the Islanders to play every other team at home and on the road for a total of 22 games, the most in conference history. The team opens up its SLC slate with a pair of away games, heading to Beaumont to square off against Lamar on December 15 and then making its way up to Nacogdoches for a contest against reigning conference champions Stephen F. Austin two days later. A&M-Corpus Christi's conference home opener follows on the other side of the holiday break, returning back to campus on December 29 to host Nicholls before wrapping up the final month of 2025 against New Orleans on New Year's Eve.

The Islanders' conference schedule rolls on in 2026 with nine games in January, eight in February, and one on March 2 on the road against Houston Christian to conclude the regular season. The highlights of Southland play include a home game against 2024-25 regular season champions Southeastern on January 17 and matches against UTRGV on the road on January 3 and at home on January 22 in the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union.

The season then culminates with the Southland Conference Women's Basketball Championship, which will take place in Lake Charles, Louisiana from March 9-12. The Islanders will be looking to get into the tournament for the fifth consecutive year and return back to the top of the conference after most recently winning the whole thing during the 2023-24 campaign.

"We're excited to announce our schedule and embrace the challenge ahead," said Wilson. "Every matchup is an opportunity to prove who we are and provide invaluable experience and growth opportunities to prepare us for conference play. The season is only 10 weeks away, so circle your calendar – every game is going to be a battle."
