WACO, Texas – Looking to remain unbeaten on the year, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis team will take on Oral Roberts on a neutral court Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Islanders (7-0) have been rolling through their first seven matches of the year, having yet to be taken down after most recently outlasting UTRGV in a 4-3 victory this past week. It is their best start since the 2021 season when they won their first nine matches that year.
Omar Suarez and
Nicholas Niox Chateau have kept themselves unblemished in singles play, both hoisting a 4-0 record at their respective positions. Each of their wins have all come in straight sets.
Nicolas Trebuchet also aided in the victory at UTRGV this past week at No. 5 singles to improve to a 3-0 record on the season. Also with a trio of singles wins are
Maxime Salesses and
Tom Berry.
Suarez has also teamed up with
Maxime Salesses to hoist a 5-0 doubles record to be completely undefeated so far this year, notching a pair of wins each at courts two and three and defeating Alcorn State at No. 1 doubles.
It will be the first-ever meeting between A&M-Corpus Christi and Oral Roberts.
