CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Returning home for just the third time this season, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team will welcome Dallas Christian for a 7 p.m. Friday night matchup in the Dugan Wellness Center.
It will be the first of two final nonconference contests for the Islanders, with the same going for number of games left in the Dugan Wellness Center. They will move forward with conference play and playing at the Hilliard Center the rest of the year beginning Dec. 29 after the nonconference finale on Dec. 20.
The Islanders have won 12 consecutive regular season nonconference games dating back to 2023-24 where the only nonconference loss at home was against UTRGV, the season before the Vaqueros joined the league.
The Islanders are 30-2 at home overall since head coach
Jim Shaw took over ahead of the 2023-24 season. Since he's been on staff (2021-22), the Islanders are 52-8 on their home court.
This will be the 3rd meeting between A&M-Corpus Christi and Dallas Christian, with A&M-Corpus Christi hosting and winning both previous matchups. It is the third season in a row the teams are facing off. In the 2023-24 matchup, the Islanders won 104-45 for the program's second highest margin of victory (59).
