CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Winding down the weeks to a new competitive year, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball program unveiled its 2025 schedule Wednesday.
The Islanders will get the fresh season underway February 7-8 in the Bearkat Classic, hosted by Sam Houston. They will face Tulsa, Bryant, and the home Bearkats over opening weekend. A&M-Corpus Christi will also play nonconference tournaments at New Mexico State, Colorado State, and South Alabama through February.
The 2025 home opener is set for February 18 against UTSA in a midday matchup at Chapman Field. It will be a home-and-away face off with the Roadrunners, as the Islanders will travel to San Antonio for a single game on March 25.
Southland Conference play will commence March 7-8 for the Islanders, who will first take on UIW in a three-game home series. A&M-Corpus Christi will also host HCU, Lamar, Nicholls, and SFA through conference play. They will play visitor to East Texas A&M, Southeastern, McNeese, and round out the season on the road at Northwestern State.
The Southland Conference Tournament will be split between two weekends, with bracket play set for May 1-3 on the campus of the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The two remaining teams will fight for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament May 8-10 in a three-game championship series, sited at the higher seeds' field.
"We are looking forward to the 2025 season," said head coach
