Baseball Announces 2025 Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team announced its 2025 schedule on Wednesday, finalizing the 51-game slate to be played in the spring.

The 2025 campaign kicks off on February 14, when A&M-Corpus Christi plays host to Big 12-opponent Kansas for a four-game series at Whataburger Field. After this comes the Kleberg Bank College Classic, which will be held for the 15th consecutive year on February 21-23. The Islanders will take on a trio of Power 5 foes that weekend, squaring off against UCLA on Friday, Michigan State on Saturday and Washington State on Sunday before facing the Cougars again in an extra game at Chapman Field the next day.

"The 2025 schedule is as daunting as any we have had," said head coach Scott Malone. "We always have had a very challenging first couple weeks to the season, and this year is no different, which is something that should be exciting for South Texas baseball fans. We also play eight consecutive games and 11 of our first 12 in Corpus Christi, which is also going to be exciting for local fans."

The first midweek nonconference game for the Islanders will take place on February 26, when they hit the road for the first time to take on the University of Houston-Victoria. Other nonconference contests on the schedule after this include road games at Texas, Rice, Texas A&M, Prairie View A&M, Houston and UTSA and home games against Prairie View, Texas Southern, UTSA and Houston-Victoria.

A&M-Corpus Christi opens up Southland Conference play on March 7 with a three-game road series against Nicholls. The Islanders will welcome Northwestern State, UTRGV, Southeastern Louisiana, Incarnate Word and New Orleans to Corpus Christi throughout the season while traveling to take on Lamar, Stephen F. Austin, McNeese and Houston Christian. The home set against UTRGV will also be counted toward the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union.

After the final series of the regular season against New Orleans on May 8-10, the Islanders will gear up for the Southland Conference Tournament, which begins on Friday, May 16. The location of the tournament is still to be determined.
