CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – After some time off the court, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis team will finally return for a pair of matches this weekend on its home court against Morgan State and Kennesaw State at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

It will have been 12 days since the Islanders last took the court after taking on No. 12 Texas A&M in Colelge Station back on Feb. 25. They dropped the 6-1 decision, but every court was contested with senior Antoine Vicaire coming out of it with the 6-6, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles against an opponent that had never lost a dual at home.

It earned him SLC Player of the Week, the third Islander on the men's side to earn the recognition this year. He is a perfect 8-0 on the year split mainly between courts two and five. Freshman Nicolas Trebuchet, who has also earned a Player of the Week nod, hoists eight wins on the year as well as a versatile player between No. 3, 4, and 6 singles.

Freshman Matthieu Coignet is unblemished with a 5-0 record with three of them coming at No 5 singles. Matching him with five wins is freshman Iannis Fernandes, sophomore Lucas Schurdevin, and veteran senior leader Avery Zavala.

Vicaire and Coignet have paired the most in doubles for the team-best 7-3 doubles record mainly at court three.

It will be A&M-Corpus Christi's first-ever meetings with either program.
