CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Continuing to build on the legacy of Islanders tennis, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team announced the addition of Juliette Jalai to its 2024-25 roster on Friday.
Jalai joins a decorated program after playing with T.C. Saint Germain les Corbeil for the last year. Through her time playing, she hoists an 8.8 UTR.
"We are incredibly excited that Juliette has chosen to join the Islanders Tennis family! We believe she is a rising star, and are so excited for her future as an Islander! She already has an 8.8 UTR and is just one win away from a -2.6 level!" said head coach
Steve Moore.
"What impressed us most about Juliette was her character, motivation, and strong desire to be on a team that was about family, character, hard work, and discipline. She comes from a wonderful family who values those things as well! She was highly recommended by Islander-great Hortense Boscher who knows the values of Islanders tennis better than anyone. We are so happy and excited for the future of Islanders tennis with Juliette!" said Moore.
She will arrive in the Fall 2024 semester as a freshman after the Islanders compete for another championship run this season.
That journey towards another championship title will begin with the opening of conference play next week at Southeastern and Northwestern State.
