CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team had 11 student-athletes put pen to paper on National Signing Day, committing to join the Islanders for the 2025 season.
The Islanders will see a recruiting class of 11 with incoming freshmen Sophia Dias, Daylan Nates, Eli Valencia, MyJoi Anderson, Bella Lopez, Maddy Way, Arianna Espana, Keira Truofeh, Emma Lucero, and Kyra Morgan as well as transfer Jessica Spurrell.
The group holds three in-state products as well as five from out-of-state and two international players. Positionally, four forwards, four midfielders, two defenders, and one goalkeeper will add to the Islanders' arsenal for 2025.
"We are excited to welcome this 2025 incoming class to the islander family," said head coach
Daniel Clitnovici. "This group is hungry to contribute to the success of the 2024 season and will be a great example of the direction of where this soccer program is headed. All these student-athletes are great people first and foremost and they all are talented soccer players. We cannot wait for them to get to the Island!"
The newcomers will join an Islanders soccer program that is coming off an historic season under first-year head coach Clitnovici. They closed out the regular season on a four-game winning streak to cement their most winning season in program history with 10 wins as next year's group will look to extend the successful turn of the program.
