CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi tennis teams each won a pair of matches at home Tuesday against Howard Payne, with the men and women both posting 6-0, 5-0 wins at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
Both teams played courts one and two for doubles in the first matches before going straight to singles in the second matches.

Antoine Vicaire (6-1) and
Nicholas Niox Chateau/
Nicolas Trebuchet (6-2) got it done the for men.
No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 singles all posted the same scores on the women's side with 6-0 sets all the way. Victorie Delattre played at court five in the second match and also posted the 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Lucas Schurdevin played at court one for the men and opened the day with a 6-0, 6-0 score before finishing out the day with a 6-1, 6-0 decision. Vicaire and Trebuchet extended their individual winnings streaks to six singles wins in a row after both going undefeated at No. 2 and No. 3 today, respectively.
The women are now 6-0 on the year while the men sit at 6-1.
The Islanders improve to 6-0 all-time against the Howard Payne men and 4-0 on the women's side. Neither team has ever dropped a game to the Yellowjackets. The Islanders women also build on their home winning streak to 37 straight matches.
This next week will have the teams split for the first time this year. The women will remain home to play Texas A&M-Kingsville Thursday at 11 a.m. while the men travel to play in the UL-Lafeyette Invitational Friday and Saturday.
