CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The reigning SLC regular season champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball program unveiled its 2023-24 schedule on Thursday.

The Islanders are coming off their second regular season championship in four seasons. The 2022-23 season also included a trip to the WNIT for the program's first postseason appearance since 2005.
This season features a jam-packed home schedule, with the Islanders prepared to host eight opponents in the nonconference slate for a total of 17 home games. 2023-24 will commence Nov. 7 at home in the Dugan Wellness Center against St. Thomas as part of a doubleheader with the men.
Other notable home matchups include UTSA, Texas State, and Rice. The game against Texas State will be the first to be played downtown at the American Bank Center on Nov. 26. The Islanders will then make trips to Texas A&M, Santa Clara, and UTRGV.
"We are excited to tackle this schedule with our veteran team," said head coach
Royce Chadwick. "We have some great regional rivalry games which includes a tremendous home schedule."
Conference play is set to open Jan. 3 at home against Houston Christian. The schedule will follow the double round robin format where all 10 teams play each other twice for an 18-game slate.
The SLC Championships are slated for March 11-14 back in Lake Charles, Louisiana, hosted by McNeese State University.
