CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Joining one of the winningest athletics programs in the history of the Southland Conference, Manuel Lopez-Videla was named Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Lopez-Videla joins an Islanders Tennis program that has made 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, including five in the past three seasons.
"I am honored and excited to become a part of the highly successful Islanders Tennis program, a nationally recognized program known for its solid commitment to culture, hard work and success. I'm passionate to work with Coach Moore and I look forward to learning invaluable insights from his expertise in building character in student-athletes. The Islanders leadership has always interested me, characterized by their strong core values: grit, character and the undeniable sense of family. I am excited to contribute to these values, fostering personal growth and sporting excellence among our dedicated student-athletes," Lopez-Videla said.
Lopez-Videla brings head coaching experience to The Island as he served as the Head Coach at Judson University last season. At the helm, he coached Judson to its first-ever win over an NCAA Division I opponent. He also served as Director of Junior Tennis at Palisades Tennis Academy in Los Angeles which produced numerous collegiate scholarship players.

Lopez-Videla was a former student-athlete at Judson after being a highly successful junior player as one of the top players in Bolivia.
