CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Senior
Max Puls represented the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball program on the Southland Conference All-Academic Teams by earning First-Team nods, released by the league office Thursday.

Puls, from Palm Desert, California, also was an All-Conference Second-Team selection. The first baseman hit for a .316 batting average with a team-high 10 homers, and tallied a 3.76 GPA in the classroom as a universities studies major.

Scott Malone. "Max had an outstanding final season for the Islanders not only on the field but also in the classroom. He had an outstanding two-year career at The Island University and I have no doubt he will have a great future."

Puls started in all 47 games he appeared in and ripped 10 doubles and a .540 slugging percentage. He racked up 36 RBIs and notched 19 multi-hit games. It included three-hit performances against UT Arlington, Lamar and HCU.
