CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In its biggest home weekend of the season, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis programs will be in action Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

Friday will be the Southland Conference opener for the women (13-2) at 1 p.m. when they face Southeastern. The men will follow with a non-conference match against UT Arlington at 12 p.m. Saturday. The weekend concludes with an 11 a.m. SLC match Sunday against Northwestern State.

Sunday will also be Senior Day for the women. The Islanders will honor four-year letterwinner
Victoire Delattre, a two-time All-Conference selection. Delattre has been a part of A&M-Corpus Christi's back-to-back NCAA Tournament teams in 2021 and 2022.

The women are the two-time defending SLC Tournament champions and have won nine conference championships as a program. They have won 27 consecutive home matches dating back to 2020. The women have not lost a conference home match since 2019.

Under head coach
Steve Moore, women's tennis hoists a 103-37 conference record since 2009. Moore is 14-1 against Southeastern and 11-11 against a Northwestern State program that was previously coached by Islanders assistant
Olga Bazhanova. The Lady Demons won the SLC regular season title last year.

The women are 59-11 (.843) in singles this year as a team. Junior
Emma Aucagne is 8-0 at No. 1 and junior
Kateryna Rublevska is 10-0, primarily at No. 5 and 6.

The men will be out for revenge Saturday against UT Arlington after falling to the Mavs 4-1 on the road on March 1. Senior
Nathan Schwartz won a three-setter at No. 3 singles 6-1, 3-6, 7-5. The men will enter play with an 11-6 overall record.
