CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The first matches at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center this spring will happen Tuesday for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis programs when they host Prairie View A&M in doubleheaders beginning at noon.

The men (3-1) and women (5-0) will play simultaneously on all courts. They will be rematches from the season openers when the Islanders swept Prairie View A&M in doubleheaders.

Admission to the matches is free.

The women are undefeated this season. They most recently completed a six day road stretch that saw them beat New Mexico State, UTEP and Texas A&M-Kingsville. Senior
Emma Aucagne went on to win Southland Conference Player of the Week.

Aucagne is one of four Islanders that are a perfect 4-0 in singles along with senior
Victoire Delattre, junior
Kateryna Rublevska and freshman
Sofia Pinto. As a team, A&M-Corpus Christi is 23-3 in singles.

The men are coming off a 1-1 weekend at the UL-Lafayette Tournament where they beat Southern Miss 5-2 but fell to the hosting Ragin' Cajuns 4-1. Senior
Pascal Lorieul went unbeaten at singles in the No. 1 and 2 positions and is 3-0 on the year.

The Islanders are 35-0 all-time against PVAMU on the women's side and 38-0 on the men's. The PVAMU women's team reached the finals of the SWAC Tournament last year.
