CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In a match that was much closer than the final score, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis program was topped 4-0 by Radford on Saturday in the 59th Annual H-E-B Tournament of Champions at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

With the result, A&M-Corpus Christi (6-3) finished in fourth-place out of eight Division I institutions in the tournament.

The Islanders were leading in all three unfinished singles matches. On court four, senior
Matthieu Peres was up a set after grinding out a first set tiebreaker 10-8.

Senior
Ulysse Bertrand, who went unbeaten in the tournament in both singles and doubles, split sets on court five. He won the first 6-3 and dropped the second 6-3.

At No. 6, freshman
Tomas Quesada Perez also split sets 6-2, 3-6 but was leading 1-0 in the third.

The women's team will be at home Sunday when they host Sam Houston at 11 a.m. at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center. The women will be putting their undefeated 7-0 record on the line.
