CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Leading the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program to a pair of wins, senior
Terrion Murdix was named the Southland Conference Player of the Week winner, the league office announced.
Murdix averaged 16.0 points, 12.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in victories over Nicholls and McNeese. It included a historic performance against the Colonels where he dished out a school record 15 assists go along with 17 points for a double-double.
The Springfield, Illinois native followed up on his record breaking night with 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds against the Cowboys. It was his ninth consecutive double-figure scoring game.
Murdix leads the SLC in both assists (5.6 apg) and steals (2.3 spg). He's averaging 16.0 points per game in conference where he's 52-of-97 (.536) from the floor.

The Islanders will be in action Thursday when they hit the road for a 7 p.m. game at New Orleans. They'll close out the weekend with an 11 a.m. start at Southeastern in a nationally televised game on ESPNews.
