Brackets

KINGSVILLE, Texas –
Freshmen Anais Brion and Palina Saulevich will represent the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis program Friday and Saturday when they compete in the Javelina Jam at 9 a.m. at the Javelina Tennis Courts.

The two will play doubles together in the top flight and will face the Prairie View A&M team of Mahogani Green and Victoria Fuenmayor Castillo in their first match Friday.

They will both also play in the top flight of singles. Brion will square off against Amelie Montalvo from UIW in the first round, while Saulevich is pitted against Mae McCutcheon from Texas State.

"We are very excited for Palina and Anais to compete this weekend. They're working very hard and improving every day. This is another great opportunity for them to develop," said head coach Steve Moore. "This is a good tournament with strong teams so it's a great opportunity for us to control what we can control and get better at our core concepts."

Both Brion and Saulevich won a singles match and two doubles matches last weekend at the Islander Open. Brion defeated A&M-Kingsville's Annika Anderssen Gomez 6-1, 6-1 before reaching the finals of her doubles flight with junior Victoire Delattre. Saulevich beat Zoi Spyrou from Tyler JC 6-2, 6-1 and was a finalist in doubles with junior Emma Aucagne.
