CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team continues its home stand by hosting HBU at Chapman Field Thursday through Saturday.
"We're excited to be at home and back on campus," said head coach
Scott Malone. "We get to get in front of our home crowd and play well. This is a big series for us as HBU and Lance Berkman have things going in the right direction. They're playing their best baseball now when they need it most.
The Islanders haven't had a home series since playing the UIW Cardinals at home where the team came away with a 2-1 series victory. The program has been on the road the past two weeks against Northwestern State and Southeastern with one home game against Texas A&M.

Tre Jones has been excelling behind the plate, having gotten at last one hit in the past four games with multiple hits in three of the games. Jones has also hit two home runs in the past few games as both came against Southeastern. He earned a home run in the exhibition game against the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Double-A affiliate of the Astros.
The Islanders will put two left-handed pitchers on the mound for starts this weekend in Freshman
Zach Garcia on Thursday and sophomore
