SAN ANTONIO – Seeding is at stake for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program as it concludes the regular season at 4 p.m. Saturday on the road against UIW at the McDermott Center.

A&M-Corpus Christi (19-11, 6-7 SLC) will look to lock-up the No. 4 seed for the conference tournament, finish in the top half of the league and earn a first round bye to the quarterfinals.

The Islanders clinch the No. 4 spot with a win OR a loss and a Northwestern State (9-21, 5-8 SLC) loss, OR a loss and a Northwestern State win and an HBU (9-17, 5-8 SLC) win. A&M-Corpus Christi has the head-to-head tiebreak over HBU, and a three-way tiebreak over HBU and NWST, but not a head-to-head over NWST.

A&M-Corpus Christi ranks eighth in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (13.33), 12th in the turnovers forced per game (17.13) and 18th in steals per game (8.9). Individually, junior
Isaac Mushila is sixth in the country in offensive rebounds per game (3.67) and 17th in rebounds per game (9.8).

Mushila has won two Southland Conference Player of the Week awards this season. He nearly averages a double-double with 14.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per outing, including 14.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in conference. Mushila has 12 double-doubles on the year. Mushila, who did not start until the fifth game, has netted over 20 points five times.

Along with Mushila, junior
Trevian Tennyson averages in double-figures with 12.3 points per game and 12.5 in conference in conference. Tennyson has hit a three-pointer in every game this year.

Junior
Terrion Murdix ranks second in the SLC in assists (3.7 apg), third in steals (1.9 spg) and top-five in assist:turnover ratio (1.5). Murdix is averaging 11.8 points per game in conference.

Senior
Myles Smith continues to climb the school record books. He ranks fourth all-time in three-pointers made (158), sixth in assists (283), sixth in minutes (3,150) and ninth in double-figure scoring games (58). Smith has scored 1,174 points and is averaging 7.8 points per game this year.

Fryer is the only student-athlete on the roster to start in every game this year. He's shooting .351 from long range which is a significant improvement from his .224 from last year. Fryer is averaging 8.0 points per game.

UIW (7-23, 3-10 SLC) is currently in eighth place but can move up a spot to seventh with a win and a McNeese (4-9, 10-20 SLC) loss to HBU. RJ Glasper leads the team with 15.7 points per game, including 17.1 in conference.

NOTES
- The Islanders are 10-6 all-time against UIW and are going for the season sweep after winning 80-64 at home on Jan. 15. In that game, the Islanders opened the second half on an 8-0 run and their lead never dropped below double-figures the rest of the way. Tennyson registered 20 points and was 7-for-9 from the field and 4-of-5 from long range.

- A&M-Corpus Christi is one victory away from quadrupling its win total from last season when it finished 5-19 overall. The Islanders have clinched a winning season overall.

- The Islanders are going for their sixth 20-win season in program history and first since 2016-17. The program began in 1999-00.

- All 13 student-athletes that have played for A&M-Corpus Christi this year have scored in double-figures in a game. The 13 is tied for the most in the nation with Bowling Green.
