CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program will honor four student-athletes on Senior Night on Wednesday when the Islanders host Nicholls at 7:30 p.m. at the American Bank Center.

A&M-Corpus Christi (19-10, 6-6 SLC) will have a special ceremony for
Simeon Fryer,
Ethan White,
San Antonio Brinson and
Myles Smith.

A&M-Corpus Christi enters play on a three-game winning-streak. It includes an unbeaten road weekend at McNeese and HBU.

The Islanders sit in fourth-place in the SLC standings. The third and fourth place teams in the Southland Conference standings earn a bye to the quarterfinals of the SLC Tournament, while the top-two seeds receive double byes to the semifinals.

A&M-Corpus Christi is one victory away from quadrupling its win total from last season when it finished 5-19 overall. The Islanders have clinched a winning season overall.

The Islanders are going for their sixth 20-win season in program history and first since 2016-17. The program began in 1999-00.

A&M-Corpus Christi ranks 9th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (13.38), 11th in the turnovers forced per game (17.24) and 18th in steals per game (8.9). Individually, junior
Isaac Mushila is sixth in the country in offensive rebounds per game (3.72) and 15th in rebounds per game (9.9)

Mushila has won two Southland Conference Player of the Week awards this season. He nearly averages a double-double with 14.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per outing, including 14.1 points and 11.9 rebounds in conference. Mushila has 12 double-doubles on the year. Mushila, who did not start until the fifth game, has netted over 20 points five times.

Along with Mushila, junior
Trevian Tennyson averages in double-figures with 12.4 points per game and 12.8 in conference in conference. Tennyson has hit a three-pointer in every game this year.

Junior
Terrion Murdix leads the SLC in assists (3.7 apg) and is third in steals (1.9 spg) and fourth in assist:turnover ratio (1.5). Murdix is averaging 12.0 points per game in conference.

Nicholls (19-10, 9-3 SLC) has won eight of its last nine games but is coming off a close 83-81 overtime loss at Southeastern. Ty Gordon leads the league in scoring with 21.1 points per game and is a six-time SLC Player of the Week winner.

- Smith continues to climb the school record books. He ranks fourth all-time in three-pointers made (156), sixth in assists (278), seventh in minutes (3,131) and ninth in double-figure scoring games (57). Smith has scored 1,164 points and is averaging 7.8 points per game this year.

- Fryer is the only student-athlete on the roster to start in every game this year. He's shooting .355 from long range which is a significant improvement from his .224 from last year. Fryer is averaging 8.0 ppg.
